Rotary Skate Park
Overview
The youth of Camrose identified a skateboard park as both a needed and wanted community facility. Initiated by the youth of the Boys and Girls Club and assisted by the generosity of the Camrose Rotary Club and others, the skateboard park was completed in the spring of 2004.
The skateboard park will stand the test of time and provides boarders a place to challenge their skills.
Amenities
Designed with the direct input of local boarders and consisting of a variety of bowls, rails, ramps, pipes, stairs, and other features, the skateboard park was designed so that novice and experienced boarders alike will find an area to meet their needs.
Location
The skateboard park is conveniently located immediately to the north of the Community Centre at 4516-54 Street, on the Rudy Swanson Recreation Park grounds.
Rules and Regulations
- The use of safety equipment (including helmet, knee / elbow pads, and wrist guards) is highly recommended. The chance of injury increases significantly if safety equipment is not worn.
